taper-lock,also known as locking assemblies, keyless bearing etc.it is a keyless coupling device, its principle and application is to realize the keyless connection by generating a huge holding force between the parts and the shaft through the action of high strength screw between the inner ring and the shaft and between the outer ring and the hub. when it is under load, the torque, axial force, or a combination of both will be transmitted by the taper-lock and the parts, axial bonding pressure and the associated friction force.

4.the application of taper-lock makes it easy to manufacture and install the main engine parts. the machining of the shaft and hole for mounting the taper-lock does not require high-precision manufacturing tolerances as the interference fit. when installing the taper-lock, there is no need to heat, cool or pressurize the equipment. it only needs to tighten the screw according to the required torque. and it is easy to adjust, it can easily adjust the hub on the shaft to the desired position. taper-lock can also be used to connect parts with poor weldability.
5.when the taper-lco is overloaded, it will lose the function of coupling, which can protect the equipment from damage.
