nhi was established on the basis of the merger and reorganization of shenyang heavy machinery group co., ltd (to be called shmg for short). and shenyang mining machinery co., ltd (to be called smmc for short). in 2007, it acquired nfm company (french) and in 2016 acquired robbins company (usa), becoming a transnational enterprise. in 2009, nhi becomes one of the top 500 enterprises in both chinese machinery industry and international machinery industry.
shmg established factories in 1937 and smmc established factories in 1921. both of them have a long history and are the backbone enterprises of chinese heavy machinery industry. in the process of the founding and growth of new china, "shenyang heavy" and "shenyang mining" have written brilliant chapters.
shmg is the chinese first heavy machinery manufacturing plant invested and expanded by the state after founding of the people's republic of china. it is affiliated to the ministry of national first machinery industry. smmc was first called tycoon iron factory, which has a history of nearly one hundred years.
on december 24, 1952, the "shenyang daily" published a letter from shmg employees to chairman mao. the letter said that in order to rebuild new china, shmg’s employees were determined to make their own heavy machinery. after repeated trials, in december of that year, the first 5-ton steam-air dual-purpose hammer was successfully developed in china, which opened the history of domestic production of heavy machinery and became an epoch-making milestone.
during first five-year plan, smmc was the only mine washing equipment manufacturer in china. during this period, major iron and steel companies, such as wuhan iron and steel, baotou iron and steel, shougang, taiyuan iron and steel, anshan iron and steel, benxi iron and steel, as well as major coal preparation plants, were provided by smmc, which lay the foundation for chinese heavy industry, and played a certain role in promoting the development of the national economy.
the wheel of time keeps moving forward. as a large national leading enterprise that produces heavy machinery products such as mining, forging, cement, rubber, etc., shmg has countless industries that are no. 1 in the country, and countless products required to implement national strategies: china first 12,500 tons free forging hydraulic press, 1500 ton stretch straightening machine, missile launcher 1-3 frame, 800/650 large steel rolling mill and 4000 ton rubber plate vulcanizer, etc. at the end of the 1980s, after again introducing technology, shmg designed and manufactured chinese unique standard experimental device for double-in and double-out coal mills, and mastered the core technology of designing and producing double-in and double-out coal mills. from 1952 to 1984, smmc completed a total of 468,000 tons of machine products, a total industrial output value of 1.21 billion yuan, and a total profit of 217 million yuan. the tax paid to the state was 268 million yuan, which is equivalent to 5.5 times the state's investment (40.92 million yuan) in factories during the same period. by 1982, smmc expanded its service area. after improving the design, the filter of the washing equipment was expanded to sugar processing, and the high-gradient magnetic separator, belt filter press and thickener were expanded to environmentally friendly sewage treatment complete equipment and so on. at the beginning of this century, nhi implemented the national strategy and completed the manufacture of the "underground aircraft carrier" tbm based on the introduction of technology, allowing china to make high-end equipment to the world.
mixed reform to get new momentum
entering a new era, nhi has taken new steps in its reform and development. in accordance with the relevant spirit of the party central committee on promoting the revitalization of the northeast and deepening the reform of state-owned enterprises, under the correct leadership and vigorous promotion of the liaoning provincial party committee, the provincial government and the shenyang municipal party committee and the municipal government, on april 30, 2019, nhi successfully completed the judicial reorganization. with the reform of mixed ownership, fangda group officially becomes the largest shareholder of nhi, marking that nhi has entered a new historical development period.
"nothing can be accomplished without norms or standards." after entering, fangda group insisted on management thoughts of " work in accordance with laws and regulations, with fairness and justice", and emphasized that "management is from focus, technology is from training, methods are from thinking, and potential is from pressure.", the company has systematically established a management method of "to respect rules and to implement strictly", and continuously improved various rules and regulations.
